Living Billboard April 1-5, 2010

Living Billboard is a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. It brings awareness to the American Cancer Society, the programs they offer, and raises money for there programs and research. One of the programs is The Look Good Feel ... Better Program. It is a wonderful program that helps women battle the physical side effects of cancer. Although the program works to cover the outside in my experience it brings out the beauty on the inside.

I love volunteering with this program and the American Cancer Society so come to the Living Billboard and donate to keep programs like The Look Good... Feel Better available and more research to be done to find a cure for cancer.

I Love My Job!

I just want everyone to know that I have the coolest job! I help women feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside! and everyone knows that when you look good you surly feel better. I love being on the cutting edge of my job and always bringing something fresh to the table. Taking something good and making it better. I definitely have a heart to serve even when it is not easy. I am always striving for better. This is what makes what I do for women awesome.

New Stuff

So I have a few things to tell you guys about and I am sorry I can not find my cord to up load the pictures but I will get them up ASAP.

First I would like to tell you I have all of my paper work and applications turned in to compeat in Mrs. Arkansas International Pageant. I am so excited about compeating and takeing my platform The Face of Hope featuring The American Cancer Society's Look Good... Feel Better Program to the next leval.

I turned in my paper work on Sunday and on Monday I facilitated the first Look Good... Feel Better Program for the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS in Little Rock, AR. We have many Look Good... Feel Better Programs throughout the state but this one is an important one to me because UAMS is one of the leading cancer facilities in Arkansas and they did not have the Look Good... Feel Better Program. One of the most important things about the program is to have it easily assessable to as many women as possible and implementing this in to UAMS is a big part of getting it to more women.

After facilitating the program I was informed of a very nice and informational magazine article that was written about me and the program. This article will also be added to every new patient packet for cancer patients to let them know about the program, what it dose, and how to get singed up. I super excited about the support I am getting from UAMS. I know this is the start of something good for Arkansas and for the patients that com from other states.

How long is your Love

As you know I have been traveling a bit but I am also remodeling the master bath room with my husband wich is very interesting since he is color blind but what I want to tell you about is a woman that I meet while providing pamper days at Arkansas Children's Hospital through my non- profit organization Handas with a Heart.

This lady came to to recive services from Hands With a Heart because she is the parent care giver of an extended stay patient at Arkansa Children's Hospital. Her three year old son has cancer. What makes her so extrodinary is that while she was coming to get recharged she is still giving. She donated 17 inches of her hair to help other children cancer patients have real human wigs for free.

What an amazing woman, person, and mother. This is the true heart of mother. Always giving and trying to help more people. Looking beyond your own self and giving a little more. I want be more like this woman. I volunteer to help people and change lives but my life is changed. There is good in people and I love to see it.

Hawaii 2010

Right after i got home from Dallas for my continuing education I was able to celebrate a wonderful trip with my husband to Hawaii not only for his accomplishments at work but for our four year wedding anniversary. It was an amazing and insightful trip. You think one way until you experience something for your self. I think I learned as much on this trip as I did at my education. I learned that you don't have to wear make up to dinner with friends, that there is a 20,000.00 orchid, that I love my family more than ever. Spending time with each other talking we bonded even more and that there are cactus in Hawaii.

Live and Learn

Just when you think you are at the top of your game in your profession new technology comes out and you are back at square one. I recently up dated my education for Great Lengths Hair Extensions in Dallas,TX and it was amazing! I am so happy that I went. They always say if you can learn one new thing everyday then your living. Well I must really be living because I learned 100 things each day I was in class. This new technology and products are not only going to make my job easier in the long run but I will be able to help more people with their hair needs.
